RISK PROJECT OVERVIEW
RISK will take 30 at-risk youth girls on a journey of a lifetime. We will chronicle their lives and explore their journey of inspiration, hope, and discovery as they go through our 4-week film-making program. Our expert team has designed a curriculum to offer each of the girls an opportunity to discover her own voice through making movies.
This documentary presents the intense, real-life experience of a group of high risk and at- risk youth girls who take on the challenge of learning how to make a movie. We share in their private lives as they train for and compete in a community film competition. Within their stories, we see their triumphs and how they are often overshadowed with their heartbreaking family dynamics. Through the completed films, we also see the story of America itself.
